Graduate School

For those considering graduate school as a followup to receiving an undergraduate degree, it is strongly recommended that you sit down with a faculty advisor at the start of your undergraduate career to ascertain what classes, grades, and additional academic components are both necessary and sufficient to reach your purported goals. This process is exceptionally important when you approach the equivalent of the second semester of your Junior year or the third semester prior to your graduation. You should discuss how to choose and prepare your graduate applications and when you should be scheduling GRE exams, letters of recommendation, possible visits to schools of interest, etc. An excellent outline of the items/schedule you should consider is found at the University of Texas at Austin website.
