KU Physicists Key Players in Higgs Hunt

Researchers announced a breakthrough discovery of a subatomic particle strongly resembling the long-sought Higgs boson on July 4 in Geneva. KU researchers have played a key part in designing and monitoring the colossal detector at the European Organization for Nuclear Research, where the discovery was made.
