Graduate Travel Fund Application

Please complete the following form to be considered for the Physics & Astronomy Department, Graduate Student Travel Fund award. Applications will be reviewed by a sub-committee of the Graduate Committee at the beginning of the following month. Students must submit an abstract to a conference or application to a summer school and provide evidence of the submissions before the application is reviewed. Funds will not be dispersed until verification of acceptance into a summer school or as a presenter at a conference. The application should include a half-page letter from the student and a support letter from the faculty advisor. Students are eligible to apply if they are full time degree-seeking graduate students, who have passed the comprehensive exam before the targeted travel date. Based on availability of funds, the awards can be given to all graduate students in good standing. Students can apply as often as needed. However, preference will be given to students who have not traveled using funds from this award within 18 months before the targeted travel date. The amount of the award will be up to $750 per student. Early applications are strongly suggested.
