Research

My area of research is in observational astronomy and astrophysics. In particular, we have concentrated on the application of precision photometry with intermediate-bandwidth optical filters to understand stellar and galactic evolution. In recent years our emphasis has been on improving the fundamental data for open clusters within the disk of the Galaxy, while working to bring our remote-controlled 1m telescope on line at Mt. Laguna, outside San Diego.
