Nano Science Day @ KU

Description: In this one-day event, you will learn about the basics of nanoscience and condensed matter physics, and how physicists design new materials for future electronics, computation, and harvesting renewable energies.
Fee: Free! Lunch will be provided.

10:00 – 11:30 KU campus tour
11:30 – 12:00 Seminar on Nanoscience and Material Research
12:00 – 1:00 Lunch
1:00 – 2:00 Lab activity – Making a nanomaterial and bringing it home
2:00 – 2:30 Seminar on Renewable Energy
2:30 – 3:15 Lab activity – Making a solar cell with juices
3:15 – 3:30 Break
3:30 – 4:00 Seminar on Future Electronics and Quantum Computation
4:00 – 4:30 Visualizing nanomaterials with computers
