Nano Science Day @ KU

Time: 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Description: In this event, you will learn about the basics of nanoscience and condensed matter physics, and how physicists design new materials for future electronics, computation, and renewable energy sources. 

Fee: Free!

Tentative Schedule:

1:00 pm: Check-in; collect the participant guideline form, and waiver and release form

            Address: Gray Little Hall (East entrance), 1567 Irving Hill Rd, Lawrence, KS 66045

1:15 pm: Seminar 1 – Material Magic: Designing Quantum Materials with Physics and AI 

2:00 pm: Lab activity – Making a nanomaterial and bringing it home 

3:00 pm: Break

3:15 pm: Seminar 2

4:00 pm: Lab activity – Making a solar cell with juices 

5:00 pm: Dismiss at Gray Little Hall (East entrance)
